Biography/history |
Runner. Born in Subiaco, W.A. in 1938. Broke the 4 minute mile in a world-record race in 1958. Won a gold medal in the 1500 meters at 1960 Rome Olympics. Retired at age 22. Later served on Australian Government sports committees. |
