Biography/history The Confederation of WA Industry was an employers' representative group formed in 1975 following the merger of the West Australian Chamber of Manufacturers (est. 1899) and the WA Employers’ Federation (est. 1913). The Confederation provided employer groups with industrial advice and support as well as acting as a lobbyist and establishing such other services as deemed wanted by the membership. The membership was open to businesses of all sizes, with membership fees structured accordingly. The Confederation merged with the West Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 1992, to form the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Western Australia.
