Biography/history |
Henry Diggins Holmes arrived in Western Australia in 1890 to take up the position of manager of the West Australian Bank. His wife Marion Louise Holmes inaugurated the W.A. Branch of the Ministering Children's League in 1891, and both husband and wife were actively engaged in working for the League until their deaths. Their daughter Phoebe continued working for the League, as well as being involved in a number of other charitable organisations. |
