Summary
The first volume is issued by National Food Authority and is known as the Australian food standards code. Volume 2 is issued by Australia New Zealand Food Authority and is known as the joint Australia New Zealand food standards code. Volume 2 is in effect from 1 Jan. 2001 until volume 1 and relevant regulations within the New Zealand Food Regulations 1984 are repealed. The name of the issuing body changed in July 2002 from Australia New Zealand Food Authority to Food Standards Australia New Zealand.
